UNR Grizzlies were made to eat their words following yesterday’s 39-8 battering at the hands of defending champions Buffaloes.

Even home advantage couldn’t save the vocal varsity side against a team chasing for a fourth consecutive league title.

With six national team players in Center forward Didier Kamanzi, full back Lucien Bikamba and wingers Emmanuel Mugisha, Juma Adams, Vincent Kamali and Benjamin Makombe, the Remera outfits were always going to be a handful for Grizzlies.

Muba Julien (prop), Eric Mbarushimana (first center), Kamali (full back), Jean Paul Nsengiyumva and Benjamin Makombe scored a try each while Lucien Bikamba scored two penalties.

Full back Koko Cambara and winger Ignace Nsanzimana got a try and conversion for Grizzlies.

In the other league match, Sharks thrashed Puma 31-0.
