I was deeply grieved to read in your newspaper about the shocking and brutal murder of Jean Leonard Rugambage, Deputy Editor , Umuvugizi .
At every event or meeting I state that Rwanda today offers one the highest levels of safety and security to be found worldwide. In fact on 5th July, I shall be speaking at a forum in Mumbai where again I will include this ‘security’ aspect in my speech.
The Rwanda Police and the judiciary will surely do all that is necessary to solve this murder and make sure that justice is dispensed. However, the sad fact remains that an innocent life is lost.
My sympathies and prayers go out to the family of Jean Rugambege, that the good
Lord will grant them the fortitude to bear their great loss. May Jean’s soul rest in peace.
