RWANDA like all other 207 Fifa associate members is set to pocket $250,000 (Rwf145m) from Fifa-the world football governing body.
The Chief Executive Officer of the local football governing body (Ferwafa) Jules Kalisa revealed to Times Sport that the decision was reached during the 60th Fifa Congress at Sandton Conventional Center last week.
"Fifa made huge profits in 2009 and set aside $52m for its associate members,” said Kalisa.
On top of the Rwf145m, Ferwafa is also expected to receive an additional $250,000, which comes in every year to help in the development of the sport.
It is widely believed that this year’s sum will be concentrated on developing women and youth football.
