Etincelles will start training on Wednesday, January 3 without their superstar Moro Sumaila.
The talented Ghanaian forward is set to complete a move to AS Kigali in the coming days after Etincelles and the Kigali City club reached an agreement.
Moro netted nine goals and provided seven assists in 14 games to help Etincelles finish the first round of Rwanda Premier League sitting seventh on the table with 23 points.
The Rubavu-based club were prepared to lose their talisman as they are already working on finding his replacement with Ghanaian Richard Nathan said to have reached an agreement to play for the club.
Nathan jetted to Kigali on December 28 and moved to Rubavu the following day to meet his soon-to-be employers and agree on final talks with the club before putting pen to paper.
Times Sport understands that the striker will join the rest of the Etincelles squad when training sessions resume Tuesday after agreeing to play for the club on a two-year deal starting with the second round of the league campaign.
Moro's imminent move to AS Kigali is a morale booster for Andre Casa Mbungo with the club hoping to beef up their attack in their continued quest to win the league title for the first time in their history.
Rayon Sports are also said to be interested in the forward and are reportedly looking to hijack his transfer to AS Kigali, having agreed to meet his Rwf25 million release clause.
Moro joined Etincelles in July 2022 on a two-year deal from then Ghana Premier League Eleven Wonders after passing trials.
