FORMER Atraco striker Dadi Birori and left back Godfrey Katerega have agreed terms with Kiyovu F.C and are now set to join the club on a two-year contract.
Atraco recently withdrew from the Primus league and MTN Peace Cup due to financial constraints and the club is now expected to cash in on many of their star players.
Birori joined the 2009 Kagame Cup winners at the start of this season from Mukula and has had a good season after netting a combined 17 goals in the league, Peace Cup and Kagame Cup where they were ejected in the semi-final by Ethiopia’s St.George.
Kiyovu coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira told Times Sport that three more players from Atraco will sign for his club before the end of the week.
"Birori and Katerega have agreed terms and will seal their contracts tomorrow. We will also sign three more players before the end of the week.”
"I cannot reveal their names but there is a midfielder, defender and a forward,” Ntagwabira said.
Kiyovu are currently in 5th position and will take on Police in their final league match.
With Atraco out of the league, Kiyovu is expected to provide competition to Champions APR and Rayon Sport for next year’s league title.
