I have been patiently waiting for this opportunity to talk back and express my dissatisfaction about a story that was run in TNT on 6th Dec. 2007, "Livestock farmers count losses as milk production increases.”

First, I want to thank my brothers that are down in Nyagatare for the great work they are doing and we can tell that you have really put in much effort. I for one would like to say please carry on. But at the same time, let me address His Excellence the Governor Mr. Mutindashyaka.

If you are a father in a home, your wife will wakeup one morning and tell you that there is no sugar for tea knowing well enough that you slept in the same bed, did not wake up in the night to go out and make money and so, you do not have it.

This will also not stop your son from asking you for a new pair of shoes so that he can look like his friends at school.
Being a father is not just a title only but a position of responsibility and you must arm yourself with solutions at all times.

So is the Governor, as a leader sir I expect that you must have an answer for your people, the people in Nyagatare say that their only plant broke down forcing them to sell milk to the consumers directly.

These farmers are not just sited by they have grouped and have a body that unites them, for heaven’s sake what have you as leader done.

At least you would have promised the farmers that the plant will be repaired sooner than later rather than saying they should find a solution from with in themselves.

To all our leaders, I want to say that it is not enough to go around and get impressed, it’s about finding those who have done something for themselves and you help them to the next level.

My view on this is that all leaders that have no solution for their subordinates should throw in the towel and call it quite.
