WHILE many coaches would treat news relating to the MTN Peace Cup final postponement as a plus, Rayon Sport interim coach Emmanuel Ruremesha feels otherwise.

Initially, the final which pits the blues with APR had been scheduled for this Saturday (June 19), but has now been moved to July 4.

Ruremesha, who future at Rayon greatly depends on the outcome of this game, was not happy after learning of the changes.

"It is a psychological blow for the team. The boys were psyched up for game this Saturday and I don’t think there is anything to be happy about,” Ruremesha said.

While a win for APR will seal an unprecedented treble for the army side, Rayon will end a six-year trophy drought if they emerge victorious.

Over the years, the final has always been played on July 4 (Liberation Day) but according to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the local football governing body, Ferwafa Jules Kalisa, this year’s edition had been brought forward following a directive from Fifa to have all competitions for the 2010-11 ending before June 30.

Rayon and APR are also slated to meet in the final game of the Primus league next Saturday. Erik Paske’s side sealed a record 11th league last Wednesday when they beat Etincelles 4-1.
