IT was a sad moment for the indomitable lions and Africa as a whole as one of Africa’s football kings Cameroon went down 0-1 against Japan on Monday.

The loss now leaves the Indomitable lions with an uphill task as they now need to grind out results against the highly talented Netherlands side as well as Denmark.

Their defeat against Japan has already raised a lot of questions about chemistry in the side and Paul Le Guen’s choices.

Many believe the French tactician got the starting line up wrong. Cameroon’s midfield of Eyong Enoh, Jean Makoun and Joel Matip were there to fill numbers. Time and again, they gave away the ball cheaply.

Le Guen then worsened matters by playing his best player Samuel Eto’o on the right wing leaving very little creativity upfront.

However, if it about going down into history books, the French coach did just fine because Monday’s defeat means that Le Guen is the first Cameroon coach to lose the country’s opening game since the lion’s first appearance back in 1982.
