I was reading in your June 14, paper that Rwanda Revenue Authority surpassed its target for Revenue collection. I carry a lot of interest in budget financing in development countries, and I must say that Rwanda serves as a good example.

Over a good number of years, I have noticed that RRA has been exceeding its targets, with each year aiming even higher. But, there is something more, that I must say is exceptional.

The fact that Rwanda has put its sight on reducing and eventually doing away with Aid dependency. While to many it may seem like a dream, if you closely follow the progress of RRA, it is clear that it’s a dream coming true.
