Editor, It is becoming unbearable for me to see some Rwandans hold on to this poor habit of sneezing & spitting everywhere. It is a disgrace to see people shamelessly sneeze in their hands and rub the mucus between their palms as if it is a Samona jelly.

It is becoming unbearable for me to see some Rwandans hold on to this poor habit of sneezing & spitting everywhere. It is a disgrace to see people shamelessly sneeze in their hands and rub the mucus between their palms as if it is a Samona jelly.
This is so disgusting moreover; these people will not hesitate to shake hands with others. Please, let’s understand that mucus and saliva just like other body fluids, have the potential to spread different microbes which cause infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, pneumonia, among others.
I suggest that instead of using bare hands to sneeze,please use a handkerchief or tissue paper to clean your nose and, avoid deliberate spitting of all over the place. This will promote both our personal and environmental hygiene.
