RWANDA went joint top with Kenya and Uganda on the Zone 5 junior handball championship table after thrashing a hapless Tanzania side 37-09 yesterday at Kimisagara courts.

Janet Ayinkamiye was the architect of the win as she scored 15 goals for the hosts to take them to six points.
Kenya kept their unbeaten run intact as they edged Uganda 27-22 to record their second win of the competition.

Rwanda returns to the court on Saturday against Kenya who play their third game this afternoon against weaklings Tanzania.

The other day’s game pits Uganda and Burundi.
The winner will qualify for this year’s Africa junior handball championship in Djibouti.
