IN the run in to the final day of the 2009-2010 league, APR coach Egidia Kayitesi has paid special tribute to fierce rivals AS Kigali for winning back to back league titles.
The Kigali City Council side secured the title on Wednesday after trouncing Remera Rukoma (GSSR) 4-2 and Kayitesi has now noted that Grace Nyinawumuntu and her team deserved to win the league.
"Congs to them for winning again. They deserved it because they were very consistent throughout the league.” Kayitesi said.
As AS Kigali host Rambura, APR will look to salvage some pride when they entertain a stubborn Aspej side at Ferwafa playground.
Other league fixtures will see third placed GSSR taking on Inyemera, Bugesera playing Ruhango and Rubavu facing Les Lioness.
On top of the winner’s trophy, National Football Federation CEO Jules Kalisa confirmed that Champions AS Kigali will pocket a cash prize of Rwf1m.
