After walloping Kibuye 5-0 at Shorongyi grounds over the weekend, Atraco assistant coach Emmanuel Ruremesha said, ‘the future is bright going into the new year’.

Ruremesha told Times Sport yesterday that he enjoyed the defeat against his former club and is ready to maintain his new employers umainatian their unbeaten run for as long as possible.

"We marched on well and we got the deserved points. This team (Atraco) has what it takes to be sucvessful, starting this season.

"Once we have managed to get the players gel as a team, it would only be a matter of time before we become the domiant force in the country,’ Ruremesha noted.

He warned rivals to watch out for his team that has alot to prove to its critics after finishing second and third in its first two years playing topflight football.

Former APR striker Andre Lomami scored a brace for the taxi-men while Rashid Dura and new signings Yousuf Kayihura and Peter Kagabo scored one each.

Atraco’s victory on the third day of the season takes them to top of the league with table, level with their rivals APR on nine points but with a superior goal difference of seven against  APR’s six.

Andy Mfutila’s side won their tie against Police 0-1 at Mumena stadium.
Elsewhere, Rayon Sport who will take part in 2008 Caf Confederaions Cup were shocked  1-0 by AS-Kigali coached by former Rayon coach Jean Baptist Kayiranga.

In Huye, Mukura lost 1-2 to SC Kiyovu while Etincelles played to a 1-1 draw against new boys Electrogaz at Umuganda stadium.

Another new league entraants Miliatry Fc, remain at the bottom of the table standing without a point in three games after going down 1-0 to Marine at Mironko stadium.
