NOT WORRIED: Sellas Tetteh

CHAN qualifier

June 6

Rwanda vs Tanzania

Build-up match (Yesterday)
Amavubi 1-0 Electrogaz

AMAVUBI head coach Sellas Tetteh is not worried about his striking force despite yesterday’s 1-0 win over Primus league side Electrogaz.

The wasps, who will have to do without Roger Tchouassi in Sunday’s crunch CHAN qualifier against Tanzania, had Electrogaz’s Pappy Rukundo to thank for his own goal.

Tchouassi, who netted Amavubi’s goal in the first leg, will miss out after injuring his shoulder during Monday’s training session. Despite the 1-0 score line, Tetteh was more than impressed with the way his guns played.

"There is good coordination among the players and the work rate on pitch is very encouraging,” the Ghanaian observed. With Tchouassi out, Tetteh is expected to rely on Emmanuel Sebanani, Daddy Birori and Yusuf Ndayishimiye.

With a highly billed friendly between Taifa Stars and Brazil set for Monday, Tanzania’s football federation (TFF) has blamed Rwanda for refusing to switch the qualifier to Saturday.

In the first leg played on May 1 in Dar es Salaam, Tchouassi scored for Amavubi while Azam’s new signing Mrisho Ngasa equalised for Tanzania.
The 2011 CHAN will be held in Sudan.
