Mt. Kenya varsity to open in August

Mount Kenya University plans to open a campus in Kigali in August, the Chairman of the institution’s Council, Simon Gicharu, has confirmed to The New Times. The Institution is currently offering a degree course in Business Information Technology (BBIT) in partnership with Rwanda Tourism University College (RTUC).

Mount Kenya University plans to open a campus in Kigali in August, the Chairman of the institution’s Council, Simon Gicharu, has confirmed to The New Times.

The Institution is currently offering a degree course in Business Information Technology (BBIT) in partnership with Rwanda Tourism University College (RTUC).

"We already have a structure in Kicukiro where the campus will be situated,” Gicharu said in an interview from Nairobi. 
He added that on top of the existing course, the institution will also offer health science and applied technology courses.

Gicharu was in the country early this year to strengthen the partnership with RTUC as well look out for investment opportunities in the education sector.
