APR’S female volleyball team made up for last year’s slip with a hard fought 3-2 final’s victory over defending champions Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) on Sunday.

Moments later, their male counterparts held off National University of Rwanda (UNR) 3-1 to complete a double for the army side at Amahoro indoor stadium.

En route the final, APR had ejected Unatek 3-1 while UNR edged Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) 3-2.

In the ladies category, APR trounced UNR in straight sets (3-0) while RRA cruised past Ruhango 3-1.

The winners pocketed Rwf0.3m while Rwf0.2m was dished out to the finalists courtesy of lead sponsors Sonarwa.
