I am a student in one of the leading schools in Kigali. I have this big crush on my teacher and he also has it on me. Every time we meet especially in class, I cannot stop day dreaming about both of us together. He even buys me chocolates. This has greatly affected my grades. What should I do?

Thank you for trusting me to give advice. I know what exactly you are going through since I also had a crush on my teacher when I was in primary four. However you are on a very slippery ground. One reason why this isn’t cool is the differences in what you want. He notices you, sees how good you look and appreciates you. But, what does he really want?

You may fall in love, and get more than what you bargained for. What of marriage, pregnancy, a baby and family now? You ready for that? Mr. Teacher may be ready. Dangerous ground. School, future, career, all can be blown away. Just like that.

Juliet you are young so do not fall for chocolates. Be cool, and cool it down. Talk to another teacher, a lady teacher. She will give you advice. And, she will help and shock that dude into a little bit of sense.  You see, teachers are human beings. Sometimes, they also lose it!

Get off that slippery ground fast. Run, like you have seen a snake.
