RWANDA’S Amavubi Stars have intensified their preparations ahead of the upcoming second leg crash against Tanzania in the final qualifying match for the African Nations Championships (CHAN) finals set for Khartoum, Sudan next year.

Coach Sellas Tetteh has been boosted by the presence of key players from APR namely; goal keepers of Jean Claude Ndoli and Jean Luc Ndayishimiye, Haruna Niyonzima, Jean Baptista Mugiraneza, Jean Claude Iranzi, Kalisa Mao, Patrick Mafisango and Albert Ngabo who joined camp yesterday to shape up for what has been described as crucial game.

Tetteh has said his team must cruise past Taifa Stars on June 5, and qualify for the African Nations Championships (CHAN) finals.

The Ghanaian tactician was adamant that his team has got what it takes to beat Taifa Stars in the return leg tie to be staged at the Amahoro Stadium    , after the two sides battled to a 1-1 draw in the first leg held at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on May 1.

Initially, Amavubi Stars had started preparations for the tie minus key players from Atraco and APR. Tetteh was working with 14 players drawn from Police, Electrogaz, Rayon Sport and Kiyovu before integrating APR and Atraco players after the Kagame Cup came to an end on last Saturday.

In Dar es Salaam, Rogers Tchouassi put Amavubi ahead but Azam’s new signing Mrisho Ngassa equalised for Tanzania.
