Editor, I want to give my felicitations to ten-time league champions, APR FC, who lifted this year’s Cecafa/Kagame Club Championship after a decisive win over Ethiopia’s St. George on Saturday, at the Amahoro stadium. The hard fought game was won only after 120 minutes because the Ethiopian champions simply refused to be bowed by the thousands of Rwandan fans who willed APR FC forward.
Editor,
I want to give my felicitations to ten-time league champions, APR FC, who lifted this year’s Cecafa/Kagame Club Championship after a decisive win over Ethiopia’s St. George on Saturday, at the Amahoro stadium.
The hard fought game was won only after 120 minutes because the Ethiopian champions simply refused to be bowed by the thousands of Rwandan fans who willed APR FC forward.
Chiukepo Msowoya, the Malawian striker who scored the first goal on the 92nd minute of extra-time and set the second goal for Victor Nyirenda to seal the victory on the 96th minute, is joining in the annals of APR FC history, champions such as Olivier Karekezi and Jimmy Mulisa.
Congratulations, the entire team did us proud. I expect the team to challenge for another trophy next Cecafa edition.
