GOING by recent reports, Atraco Coach Sam Timbe is uncertain of his future. Atraco vice president Issa Ngese recently affirmed that the club would not renew Timbe’s contract which runs out in September.

Ngese said the board’s decision was so painful but attributed it to financial constraints that have hit the club.
"We shall painfully miss Timbe’s services but we cannot afford a foreign coach now” Ngese said.

Rayon Sport have also been linked with the Ugandan but the blues Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya has dismissed those claims.

"Timbe is an outstanding coach but those are just speculations because he is not part of our plans right now,” Gakwaya said.

Rayon, whose Kagame Cup campaign came to an end after Tuesday’s defeat against Sofapaka, is currently managed by interim coach Emmanuel Ruremesha.

Other coaches who have been linked with the hot seat include Harambee stars’ assistant coach Jacob Ghost Mulee and Cameroonian Jean Paul Akono.

Timbe joined Atraco in 2008 and guided the club to last year’s Kagame Cup after edging El-Merreikh in the final.
It was his third regional championship after leading Ugandan sides SC Villa and Police to the title in 2005 and 2006 respectively.

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is another possible destination for Timbe. After their forgettable display at the group stages, the URA management believes the 50-year-old is the right man for the job.
