BPR opens 126th branch

KIGALI - BANQUE Populaire du Rwanda (BPR) on Friday evening opened its 126th branch in Kicukiro District. The bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Ben Kalman, said that BPR has embarked on getting closer to its clients.

KIGALI - BANQUE Populaire du Rwanda (BPR) on Friday evening opened its 126th branch in Kicukiro District.
The bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Ben Kalman, said that BPR has embarked on getting closer to its clients.

"As BPR management, we look forward to the development of Rwanda, and so, as a result of increasing clientele and as a sign of Rwanda’s speedy development, we have committed ourselves to establishing BPR in at least every centre,” said Kalman.

He added that there is a large market in the district. "Kicukiro centre has a booming business and it’s developing at very high speed,” he told Sunday Times in an interview.

The bank has so far registered 3,000 clients in Kicukiro.
The newly constructed branch which cost over Rwf200 million, will also act as a training centre for BPR employees.

BPR management revealed that 10 more branches are in the pipeline which will see 25 branches opened by the end of this year.

Speaking at the event, the guest of honour, Kicukiro Mayor, Paul Jules Ndamage, urged the bank management to keep improving on its customer care service delivery.
