Its an unnecessary pain

Have you been thinking hard on whether you should go for circumcision or not, and you are looking for some piece of advice before you make your final decision? My answer to you is; don’t do it!

Oh! And I hope you are not female. What would a woman or girl be doing, thinking about whether to circumcise or not? That is just too weird.

Before I go any further, I want to let you, my readers know that, the issues I have against circumcision are not just personal, but medically proven reasons calling on you to ditch any circumcision ideas.

Despite the fact that there are many myths surrounding the advantages of circumcision, the truth is that no medical personnel approves of it. (If you think that I am making this up, you can Google and see for yourself).

Now you may ask? How come I listen to doctors on radio saying that circumcision is healthy and good? My answer to you is; have you seen the posters all over town advertising "agakingirizo”? (Of course you have)

My question to you is; have you seen any billboards advertising circumcision? (Of course you haven’t).

The reason you haven’t seen the billboards is because circumcision is not a medically proven therapy advanced to prevent let’s say HIV, cancer or bacterial infection. On the other hand, "agakingirizo” is promoted because condoms are scientifically proven to prevent HIV.

The people you hear on radio proposing circumcision are speaking under the influence of religion, not human science.

Let’s look at the main circumcision fields proposed by pro-circumcisers. They say that a circumcised man has a cleaner penis than a non-circumcised man, and therefore is not prone to bacterial infections. This is a big lie!

There is no evidence that can prove that claim. There are no hospital records showing that more uncircumcised men seek medical assistance than those who are circumcised.

Circumcised men still get bacterial infections if they do not take care of themselves, which makes them nevertheless more like the uncircumcised fellows.

The uncircumcised men on the other hand have to only use water and soap (that simply) to easily clean themselves up and avoid infection, instead of opting for a more painful session of cutting their skin away.

To parents who want to circumcise their innocent babies, there is a study showing that about 18 out of 100,000 babies die after being circumcised. Why would you want to take your baby for a medical procedure without 100 percent assurance that the child will live?

If your child gets an infection, doctors say breastfeeding and proper cleaning work does wonders for curing and preventing infection.

Further more, some women have been deluded to believe that men who are circumcised are better in bed. Hmmm... I wonder how that comes about, so I will just rubbish the whole notion. It’s just a myth.

In conclusion, as we move further and further away from earlier generations that were ruled by myths, circumcision rates continue to move on a steady decline all over the world because people realize how uselessly painful it is.
