SELLAS Tetteh has reaffirmed his commitment to Amavubi Stars by squashing reports that he deserves a cameo role for Ghana’s Black Stars at the upcoming World Cup in South Africa.

Former World Player of the Year George Weah yesterday advised Ghana to include the U-20 World Cup winning coach on their bench staff for next month’s showpiece.

The former Liberian international and Inter Milan star said the current Rwandan national team coach has a lot up his sleeve, and drafting him in to join the Black Stars’ technical brains would take the West Africans far in their quest to beat the maiden World Cup record of the Round of 16 in 2006.

Weah told Accra-based Joy FM that Tetteh would easily bond with the players since the provisional squad for the finals has five of the U-20 players.

Moreover, Tetteh is familiar with most of the senior players as a former assistant and caretaker coach of the Black Stars.

However, the 53-year-old, who is in Ghana to launch his new book ‘Sellas Tetteh, My Success Story” said that it is not an option for him.

"This is a new chapter for me and I want to build a winsome Rwandan side. We have a return leg to play against Tanzania on June 6 and we’re praying that the good Lord helps us win.”
