APR hit man Chiukepo Msowoya has accepted a three year contract with Orlando Pirates and abandoned plans to travel to Germany for trials with Bundesliga side SC Freiburg.

The 21-year-old Malawi international, who scored four goals in APR’s 6-1 demolition of Telkom of Djibouti in the on-going Kagame Cup, revealed to the Malawian media that he had signed a three year contract with Pirates after undergoing trials with the Mayfair-based side.

"Yes,” said an elated Msowoya. "I have been offered a three year contract and I have signed it,” he explained, revealing his excitement at the prospect of joining fellow Malawian Flames compatriot Josephy Kamwendo.

Pirates will have to finalise the deal with Mozambican side Muculmana, as he was on their books before they loaned him out to APR.

Msowoya is one of Malawi’s most sought after players after his impressive performance in the 2010 African Nations Cup tournament.

The Flames’ top goal scorer, whose loan spell at APR expires at the end of this month, confirmed he would join Orlando Pirates on July 1 for the club’s pre-season preparations.
