Special Olympics body set for Global Congress

SPECIAL Olympics Rwanda has been invited to take part in next month’s Global Congress due in Marrakech, Morocco.The body’s national director Anaclet Ruzindana told Times Sport recently that the congress which is expected to focus on the future of the body would attract over 174 countries.

SPECIAL Olympics Rwanda has been invited to take part in next month’s Global Congress due in Marrakech, Morocco.
The body’s national director Anaclet Ruzindana told Times Sport recently that the congress which is expected to focus on the future of the body would attract over 174 countries.

The Congress supported under the Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco has been possible through the vision and leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Amina, a board member of the international Special Olympics body.

During the four-day event, the body’s late founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver will be honoured.

Special Olympics is an international organization that changes lives by encouraging and empowering people with intellectual disabilities, promoting acceptance for all, and fostering communities worldwide.
