ATRACO Coach Sam Timbe has challenged his team to step it up this afternoon when they take on a short of confidence Uganda Revenue Authority side at Nyamirambo stadium.

The Kagame Cup defending champions had a forgettable start in the competition after going down 2-1 against Simba.

Robert Ssentongo gave Simba a first half lead but Alimasi Kadogo restored parity mid way through the second half. The game seemed like it was headed for a draw only for Musa Hassan Mgosi to convert a 90th minute penalty.

Timbe now believes that defeat was a wake up call for his team.

"We made many errors against Simba but we don’t plan on repeating them. On the contrary, we are keen to prove that we are a big side,” the Ugandan said before stressing, "We have to win URA to stay in the competition.”

On the other hand, Sofapaka boss Sam Simbwa wants his side to wrap up their quarter-final slot with a win over Simba.

The Kenyan side walloped URA 3-0 on Monday with John Baraza, Hugo Nzoka and Bob Mugasa all getting on the score sheet and Simbwa now believes his side has a good chance of finishing top of Group C.

"Simba is another tough team but we are prepared for the challenge. The boys know what is expected of them and I have no worries,” Simbwa, who has coached Atraco in the past said.
However, Simba coach Patrick Phiri reckons that they will go down fighting if they have to.
"There is great confidence in the team after the Atraco win and we just want to carry on from there,” he said.
Sofapaka and Simba have won a game each but the Kenyan champions top the group on goal difference.
