As The African Dairy Conference and Exhibition commences for the first time in Kigali, I would like to address the various aspects in which Rwanda’s dairy farmers can benefit from a change of strategy and mindset in order to add value to the Dairy Industry. 

There are countless opportunities in Rwanda’s dairy industry particularly, the investment opportunities in the areas of milk collection and processing.
With the numerous cattle that Rwanda has, there is no limit to milk products.

With proper organization, diary farmers and key players can invest in making low priced milk products that can be supplied to the Rwandan market especially in schools so as to raise healthy children and kick out malnutrition.  

This however, can only be achieved if money is injected in acquiring standard machinery that can be used to collect and produce quality products that are attractively packaged to increase sales. 

Through mechanization of the Dairy industry, more revenue will be raised and hence creased its contribution the to country’s economy.
