ERIK Paske expects a much clinical display from his APR guns when they entertain lowly Telkom of Djibouti this afternoon at Nyamirambo’s Regional stadium.

APR, who are chasing for their third Kagame Cup title, were far from their best in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Vital’O and Paske has now challenged the team to prove that they can match title favourites and fellow Pool A opponents TP Mazembe with a top notch display today.

"I felt we were off-colour against Vital’O. We lost so many balls and were not sharp in front of goal,” the Dutch tactician noted.

"We can’t afford such because this is a Cup tournament where you will be punished if you play poorly.”

APR’s in form striker Victor Nyirenda is ruled out after receiving a straight red against the Burundi champions.

Telkom had the worst of welcomes after Sunday’s 8-0 thrashing by TP Mazembe who will seal their place in the quarter-final if they beat Vital’O in a lunch time kick-off at Nyamirambo.

Vital’O coach Yaounde Kanyankole knows more than anybody else that his side has to double their effort to stand any chance of pulling off a result against the ruthless Congolese giants.

"It’s important for us not to panic. We have to play to our strengths and leave the rest to God,” Kanyankole said.

Meanwhile, following Heartland’s last minute withdraw, the fixtures have been revised with the final now scheduled for May 29.
