REFEREES who will handle this year’s Kagame Cup are set to undergo a referees’ cooper test this morning at Amahoro stadium. The fourteen include; Hudu Munyemana (Rwanda), Eric Gasinzirwa (Burundi), Ali Farah (Djibouti), Girma Zakaria (Ethiopia),Caleb Amwayi(Kenya), Dennis Bate (Uganda) and Israel Mujuni(Tanzania).

Assistant referees include; Felicien Kabanda and Eric Ruhumuriza (Rwanda), Jean Claude Birimushau (Burundi), Aden Marwa (Kenya), Ejigu Sintanyehu (Ethiopia),Ally Kombo (Zanzibar) and Samuel Kayondo (Uganda).
According to Rwanda’s referees’ instructor Aaron Rurangirwa, all referees are set to undergo the test. "Whoever fails the test will not officiate in the tournament.”
Cecafa has also put in place a referee’s sub-committee to ensure that referees are in the best possible physical condition.
The committee is headed by Bernard Mfubusa (Burundi), Robert Anangwe (Kenya) and Suleiman Waberi (Djibouti).
