ALTHOUGH Etincelles’ dream of lifting a maiden league trophy is all but over, the club coach Abdul Bizimana has warned the league’s big two; APR and Atraco to expect an even sterner challenge next year.

The Western Province side, which was promoted to the top flight this season, came agonizingly close to upsetting the odds but a small squad coupled with a congested Primus league and MTN Peace Cup schedule meant that the team could not easily challenge for the title.

Despite losing 2-0 against Etincelles, the side still looks certain to finish third, something that has had pundits lavishing praise on the team.

Bizimana yesterday revealed to Times Sport that he is going to be a busy man in the transfer window as he prepares to launch a serious title chase next season.

"Our priority now is to win next year’s Primus league and I have already identified five players who can help the club achieve this target,” Bizimana said.

"This has been the most successful season in the club’s history and I want to take this opportunity to thank the players and management for all their input.”

Etincelles, who are nine points adrift of APR and four behind Atraco, wind up their campaign with ties against APR and AS Kigali.
