Local R’nB star Meddy is likely to perform at the Rwandan exhibition stand during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa next month.

The mayor of Kigali City Dr. Assia Kirabo said that the Governor of Pretoria expressed interest in the ‘Igipimo’ singer following his performance at the Kigali City Festival.

"The Governor asked about singer Meddy and asked that he be part of the delegation that will attend the tournament,” said Kirabo.

Meddy also told The New Times that he had heard about the proposal before, but was not updated by press time.
