Rwanda international Ange Mutsinzi has left Portuguese second tier side CD Trofense after both sides agreed to terminate his contract.
According to Portuguese biggest sports portal Abola, the towering centre back came into a consensus with the management of the club for his deal to be nullified effective Wednesday, December 21, due to unpaid wages as the club seems to be in financial difficulties and are not able to pay him.
Mutsinzi was a pillar at the back for Trofense last season where he featured in 26 games. He was on the radar of a host of teams including French cup champions Nantes.
He joined CD Trofense in August 2021 on a two-year deal from Rwandan Premier League side APR FC.
The Amavubi defender, 25, is expected to join a new team in the January 2023 transfer window.
