A group of Rwandan dancehall-afro beat artists have joined efforts to launch a joint music venture to hype competition within the local music scene.

The crew includes famous artists like Rafiki, Sgt Robert, Bac T as well as upcoming artistes SB and Sabiti.

According to an insider, the crew was formed with the intent of upgrading dancehall-afro beat music in Rwanda.
"We want afro beat to rule the air waves just like R n B and hip hop have done,” he said.

The artists also opened up their ‘Step Up Studio’ in Kigali’s suburb, Kimironko and the studio is run by famed producers, Jay-P and DJ B.
