ELECTROGAZ Coach Abdul Mbarushimana has fired a warning to APR not to expect an easy game when the two sides meet in the semi finals of the MTN Peace Cup next month.
Electrogaz defeated last year’s finalists Mukura 4-3 on penalties, while APR made light work of AS Kigali after beating them 2-0 at Mumena on Saturday.
And with the ten-time league champions set to take part in the Kagame Cup that kicks off this Saturday, Mbarushimana thinks that the military side may get hampered by fatigue and gift his side a spot in the final.
"They have taken part in many competitions this season and though they have a big squad, it will be stretched by the time they face us and we want to fully capitalize on that.”
"We are going to use this break to fully prepare for the semifinals. The club has been boosted by playing in the semis and it will be great to get to the final,” Mbarushimana said.
Electrogaz are currently 7th in the Primus league with two games to go and will play Police tomorrow before winding up their campaign with a tricky tie against Etincelles on June 22.
