The military side left aboard Kenya Airways and Coach Sammy Mulinge was reluctant to promise much insisting that the team was after a decent performance.
"The team has prepared fairly well for the tournament and I now hope they can reap what they have been sowing on court,” the Kenyan coach said.
The tournament which usually attracts Africa’s cream will merge the likes of Posta, Prisons and KCB-all from Kenya; Ghalia Chlef and Bejaia from Algeria, Bafia Evolution and Injis from Cameroon, Quantum( South Africa), Les As (Burundi), Anse Royale (Seychelles), Kutlwano (Botswana), Nkumba University and the Congolese duo of Canon and AS Volley.
The winner will go on to represent Africa at the FIVB World Club Championships set for December in Qatar.
