The government is acknowledged to have been on a good move to get rid of the street children from the streets, especially this year.

However, they should not be manhandled by the people implementing the policy or whatever you may call it.
These children, one may be forgiven to think that they are an example of the country’s bad example of the bad governance.

Our history is one where bad governance and violation of human rights were part of the leadership.

A good number of the street children are orphans of genocide while others are have been orphaned by Aids.

My complaint follows an incident which happened the previous night while in Kigali’s down town, the police and local defense guys were picking these children from the streets. But what was noticed was the great force with which the police used to make them board the vehicle was really too much.

But I appreciate the idea of resettling them.
