HEADS will roll when two of Rwanda’s football giants Rayon Sport and SC Kiyovu meet this afternoon in the last eight of the MTN Peace Cup at Nyamirambo’s Regional stadium.

After drawing tough sides in Heartland (Nigeria), Ethiopia’s St. George and Zanzibar champions Mafunzo in group B of the Kagame Cup and seeing another unsuccessful Primus league campaign go by, Blues interim coach Emmanuel Ruremesha feels the club’s best chance of silverware is the MTN Peace Cup.

"This is our best chance of finishing the season with a title and we are going to do everything to make sure we get to the semi-finals,” Ruremesha, who took over from Jean Baptist Kayiranga said.

"I know that the club has had ups and downs this season but the atmosphere in the dressing room is great. The players are psyched up for the contest.”

After beating Rayon home and away in the Primus league, Kiyovu head coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira does not see any reason why his guns cannot dump the Blues out of the lucrative competition.

"The team is 100% ready for the contest and I hope we shall prevail at the end of the day,” Ntagwabira said.

In other fixtures, APR entertain AS Kigali at Mumena while last year’s finalists Mukura clash with Electrogaz at Kicukiro.

Tomorrow, holders Atraco play Etincelles at Nyamirambo’s Regional stadium.
Last year, Atraco pocketed Rwf10m, finalists Mukura bagged Rwf7m while APR and Rayon settled for Rwf4m and Rwf2.5m after finishing 3rd and 4th respectively.
