NPC head revels in new continental role

NATIONAL Paralympic Committee, NPC-Rwanda President Dominique Bizimana has been selected to head the development department of the African Sports Confederation for People with Disabilities.

This comes a few weeks after his appointment as president of the East African Federation of Sports for People with Disabilities.

In a brief interview with Times Sport, Bizimana said that the increasing responsibility that he is getting is testament of the rise of Sports for Disabilities in the country.

"All these appointments are a result of the hard work that the National Paralympic Committee and our partners are doing to develop sports for disabilities in the country and the regional,” the 34-year-old said before adding, "We (Rwanda) have been at the fore front for as regards sports for disabilities.”

Bizimana was also appointed by the World Organization Volleyball for Disabled (WOVD) as the special advisor in charge of Sitting Volleyball for Africa.
