Gaming Corp honours Genocide victims

Over100 staff of Rwanda Gaming Corporation (RGC) on Tuesday visited Kigali Memorial Centre, Gisozi to pay their respects to the more than one million people who lost their lives during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.During the visit, Rwf 800,000 was donated to the centre.

Over100 staff of Rwanda Gaming Corporation (RGC) on Tuesday visited Kigali Memorial Centre, Gisozi to pay their respects to the more than one million people who lost their lives during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
During the visit, Rwf 800,000 was donated to the centre.       

Speaking after touring the centre, RGC’s Chief Executive Officer, Philip Brizoua, said the purpose of the visit was to join the nation in paying respects to the victims.

"We condemn what we have just seen here and we strongly denounce what happened in1994. We hope everyone joins hands with the government to help rebuild the nation” Brizoua said.

After paying respects at the centre, RGC employees visited Village of Hope, an orphanage in Kimironko were they also donated Rwf0.5m to help the orphans. The orphanage is home to over 300 orphans in child-headed homes.

Brizoua praised the children’s courage in taking care of other children and also advised them to strive to uphold the ‘Never again’ slogan for the better future of the nation.
