How awful it is that the people meant to help the Genocide survivors are the ones exploiting them! It’s sad to read that IBUKA  officials, as senior as Secretary General and Vice President have been arrested for alleged mismanagement of survivors’ funds.

While I will give them the benefit of the doubt, I think that there is something untoward in there. Without attempting to sound alarmist, too many news stories have been written about corrupt practices in that organization.

I think that there should be a thorough review of how money is handled in that organization. If not, then the people who IBUKA is supposed to assist will be unfairly treated. And that would be a shame.
