APR’s teenage striker Emmanuel Sebanani a.k.a Crespo yesterday showed why he is Rwanda next hottest goal-getter as he led the Amavubi Stars to a 4-0 route over Primus National League side in a training match played at Amahoro stadium.

Under the close eye of head Sellas Tetteh, the national side dominated the league side as the Ghanaian Fifa U-20 World Cup winning coach was using the game to select his final team for this weekend’s CHAN qualifier against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars.

Sebanani, 18 scored a brace while Police striker Roger Tchouassi and Rayon Sport’s Yusuf Ndayishimiye added the other goals.

The Amavubi Stars, who have spent more than a week in residential training camp, looked sharp and lot more effective in-front of the opposition goal as Tetteh tried out his favoured 3-4-3 formation.

Besides two-goal hero Sebanani, APR’s other players Sella Didier Rogba, Haruna Niyonzima, Jean Claude Niyonzima, goalkeeper Jean Luc Ndayishimiye and Jean Baptista Mugiranezawere all outstanding for Amavubi as the team prepares for Saturday’s first leg game in Dar es Salaam.

Before the game with Electrogaz, the national team had earlier made light work of another Primus League side AS Kigali with a 4-1 mauling. Abouba Sibomana, Roger Tchouassi, Daddy Birori and Emmanuel Sebanani scored the goals while Louis Nshimiyimana netted AS Kigali’s consolation goal.

Tetteh is expected to name the final squad before the team departs for Tanzania this Friday, one day before the match.
