I wonder which Rwandan athlete will pick up the torch when our most elite athlete Dieudonne Disi retires after this year’s Commonwealth Games which will be held in New Delhi, India from October.

Its unfortunate that this great athletics career is coming to an end because of recurring injuries.

The straw that broke the camels back seems to be the hamstring injury that he sustained back in March, while running in the Paris half marathon.

His has been a stellar career; he won the 10,000m race at the Francophone Games, the Paris 20Km race and equaled the course record at the Reims Half Marathon.

I wonder who will surpass his achievement; Athletics Rwanda has quite a task to find his successor. I wish them luck.
