THE Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Denis Polisi, has urged Rwandans to focus on effectiveness at work to contribute towards the development of this country.
Polisi said this while addressing residents of Nyandungu, in Kicukiro district whom he joined yesterday in the monthly communal work (Umuganda).
"If we are to work towards the development of this country, we have to aim at effectiveness at work by working hard, other than just having a mere presence at the workplace,” Polisi said.
Polisi also addressed the need to develop the culture of saving and working with financial institutions as one of the means to effective and successful business.
"You should save, however little it may be, and work with banks in order to succeed.”
The Mayor of Kicukiro District, Paul Jules Ndamage, encouraged and praised the residents for the good turn out. Local Government Minister, Christophe Bazivamo was also present.
A team of eight delegates from Malawi and students and staff from Uganda Christian University (UCU) also participated in the communal work.
