A group of students at SFB (School of Finance and Banking) have embarked on a movie making project called "Inzira Ikwiye Films”.
It was founded in January 2009, with 20 senior actors who have already released two episodes of the series "THE UGLY SIDE OF US”.
Recently, the group documented a film about the Rwandan 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, which was featured in ‘Metropolice TV’ in the Netherlands.
Eric Sekanyeri, the Project Director said the team largely bases its filming on the negative aspects within the Rwandan society, and intends to cover other societies in the future.
"We want to educate Rwandans in a realistic way. We’ll diversify as we pick up momentum,” Sekanyeri said.
Patrick Ntwari, the External Coordinator said he is establishing promotion contacts from all over East Africa.
"We want to showcase our product on major TVs.”
The students will soon launch their second episode despite the lack of sponsorship for the project.
