VITAL’O coach Yaounde Kanyankole is sure his side can spring a surprise against Group A favourites TP Mazembe and APR in this year’s Kagame Cup.

The Burundian giants and Telkom of Djibouti complete the group.

Speaking from Bujumbura, Kanyankole who has also coached Rayon Sport in the past, said, "We are aware that many have labelled us underdogs in the group but that is not a problem for us.”

"All we have to do is have the right belief and focus.”

This year’s edition will run from May 15-29 in Kigali.

Last year’s Champions League finalists Heartland of Nigeria heads Group B with Ethiopia’s St. George, Zanzibar’s Mafunzo and Rayon Sport while Group C pits reigning champions Atraco with Kenyan’s Sofapaka, Uganda Revenue Authority and Simba of Tanzania.
