EASTERN PROVINCE

RWAMAGANA— The Governor, Theoneste Mutsindashyaka, has urged members of the informal education-Itorero- to form similar groups at the sectors and settlement levels.

"I call upon you to facilitate the establishment of Itorero at Sector, Cell and Umudugudu levels.

You are requested to be good teachers by using the knowledge you have acquired from the training,” Mutsindashyaka said while closing the district training.

About 857 members finished the training.

He further urged the group to integrate economic revolution with the knowledge obtained from the training to achieve development.

Mutsindashyaka, challenged the vice Mayor in charge of economic development, to ensure that each of the trainees gets a cow  by year’s end in line with the government’s vision of one cow per family.

On behalf of the Itorero, Pius Butera, commended the trainees for the discipline exhibited during the training and thanked the facilitators for the lessons provided.

He promised that the members would influence change in their respective sectors by acting as role-models.

He appealed to the leaders to always be close to them for guidance.

Emanuel Rwakayigaba, the program supervisor, described the Itorero named Inceramihigo-Mumajyambere (literally translated as focal point for sustainable development) as concrete and real.
