“Amapingu y’urukundo” to be out soon

The film “Amapingu y’urukundo” translated as “The handcuffs of love” portrays different lifestyles in the Rwandan society; the ethnic discrimination, hierarchy, sex and regions.

The film "Amapingu y’urukundo” translated as "The handcuffs of love” portrays different lifestyles in the Rwandan society; the ethnic discrimination, hierarchy, sex and regions.

The film also depicts forced and genuine love, where genuine love symbolizes handcuffs, which bonds those who are truly in love during hardships. 

"Amapingu y’Urukundo” is produced in Kinyarwanda by Roots Production, starring Rwanda’s filmmakers. Willy Audace Mucyo, a member of Roots Production said that the film is great because it focuses on love, which connects all people regardless of their status, age or ethnic groups,”  
Roots Production was founded in 2009 by a group of Rwandan filmmakers and musicians to produce vernacular films.

Mucyo revealed that more films are still in production and soon be released.
