THE winners of the 2009/10 Primus national league will pocket Rwf5m courtesy of Bralirwa, Rwanda’s leading brewers.
Last month, Bralirwa and the local football governing body, Ferwafa signed a three year partnership deal worth Rwf335m and the federation’s Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa yesterday told Times Sport that each top flight club is entitled to Rwf1m this season.
"We agreed in the General Assembly which was attended by club representatives that each club gets Rwf 1m, while the winners would get Rwf 5m.”
"Clubs are getting small packages because we got this money towards the end of the season, but the package will be different next year.”
"We are also discussing prizes for the league’s best player, top scorer and coach of the year,” Kalisa added.
With two games to go, APR has a two-point lead over second placed Atraco. Western Province side Etincelles are third.
APR has won the league ten times.
