When your best friend’s wedding is around the corner, you as the best man are in charge of planning and organizing a fabulous bachelor party.

Without a plan, you risk spending more money hence offending the groom since he could use it for other things in marriage.

Perfect the invitation list

As it’s the general rule for most parties the more people the merrier at a bachelor party, it’s a different story since the number of people should be limited in order to maintain a code of silence. Always make sure you don’t invite close friends or relatives of the bride-to-be since they could ‘spill the beans’.

If the groom has close female friends that can be trusted invite them and perhaps the brother in law if he is an understanding person, you should not exclude him from enjoying with his in-law.

Select the Time and Place

Set the date: Its preferably ok if the day is a weekend prior to the wedding day. In the past, the bachelor party was organised a night before the wedding, yet usually the groom could have drunk a lot hence hangover and its aftermath. So set a date that allows the groom to have a great time and still have time to prepare for the wedding.

The place where the party should be held is very influential, different kinds of games that will be held during the party depend on the environment.

You may decide on the games depending on the likes of the groom-to-be, if he enjoys a particular sport, activity or a weird thing he has ever wanted to do then make his wish come true.

Make a budget: determine how much you are to spend then share the cost with the groom and buddies. The costs will vary greatly depending on the activities planned and the number of people invited.

When booking a location, get a reservation for at least a month in advance to avoid the danger that come with last minute programs.

It sounds funny to round up a bunch of strippers and have them take their clothes off, it’s the trend now days for most bachelor parties but you actually have to be extremely careful on how you go about it.

Organising the party at the groom’s house is very unhealthy since a lot of damage could be done for resistance if any relative of the bride pops in and finds the strippers.

How to go on with the entertainment bit.

First, you might want to start off the evening right, by embarrassing the groom and the guest of honour should be aware of all your major plans; you should still have a few surprises up your sleeve.

At many bachelor parties, the best man and other close friends have to give the groom a recap of his past mostly the dirty part of it and he will learn from his mistakes before he ties the knot. Don’t forget to keep the drinks and snacks flowing.

Keep things under control.

If you are to have an alcohol-drinking, stripper-watching kind of entertainment then keep in mind that the goal of the party is for the groom and friends to have a good time hence your responsible for everything.

Also, remember that when a lot of people are drinking, things could potentially slip out of control.

It’s a good idea to look out for the groom and to enlist the guests to look out for each other.

Finally, don’t forget to remind the groom that he’s getting married and this is his last chance at freedom, however don’t get the poor guy drunk and then pressure him into sleeping with his ex-girlfriend one last time, you’re not out to doom the wedding.
