Editor,
I want to applaud the students of School of Finance and Banking (SFB) for after a series of fundraising activities, giving 22 goats to Genocide survivors and widows of Nyamata in Bugesera, as part of their contribution to improving survivors’ livelihoods.
This kind of act makes me proud to be Rwandan. Having lived in many different countries I feel Rwanda is probably the most communal I have ever lived in.
It’s amazing that these students, who probably don’t have relatives who even live in Nyamata, cared enough about their fellow Rwandans to spare some money from their tight budgets.
As a former student myself, every penny is worth a lot, so for these students to do so is extremely commendable.
